KUK SUL DO PRACTICAL

What is Kuk Sul Do in practical sense?

Strictly and practically Kuk Sul Do is based upon practicing of next skills and arts:

Basics: which are basics stances, leg work, break falls, gymnastics, warming up, breathing exercises and KI energy gathering.

Advanced: -advance stances, advanced blocking techniques, punches and strikes, kicks, special punches, special kicks, special acrobatic heavy break falls, advanced footwork, punch combinations, kick combinations, jumps and acrobatics, Hyungs (forms), weapon techniques, prearranged sparring, free sparring without or with weapons, ground fighting, bow and arrow, knife throwing, outside camp training and SU techniques.

Su techniques are special kind of techniques that are represent a great pool of self defense techniques from various grabs, holds, chokes from every possible position and way, also SU-s are self defense tech. against punches, kicks, combinations, weapons attacks, multiple attacks, chokes, ground attacks. In SU techniques we combine a joint locks, pressure points, breaking, throwing, choking, strikes, kicks, holds, grabs and weapons to all in the same time. Then we have special training for KI energy development, specific physical preparation training for speed, power, endurance, hardening of body, special training for mind and spirit.

Basics weapons:

Long staff, short staff -few sizes, walking stick, Korean sword, short swords, knife, bow and arrow. Trough all of Kuk Sul Do there is a span of 40 different weapons to practice.

Practically Kuk Sul Do is all encompassing art of total development.
